Lines Stable

The family firm of  Lines was founded in 1850, manufacturing many different toys, including rocking horses. The brothers George and Joseph Lines opened a factory at 457 Caledonian Road, London in 1876, producing quality rocking horses, with the firm being variously known as G & J Lines or sometimes J & G Lines.

The family tradition was continued when Joseph's sons set up their own business after the first world war, trading as Lines Bros Ltd, eventually to become Triang in 1927, notable for producing the "Sportiboy" range.

Lines horses are usually identified by their dish shaped faces.
