Emily is a carefully restored J&G Lines horse, retaining many original features. She has a new mane and tail and quality English leather tack, but the lightly touched up paintwork retains much originality. The stand possibly has original varnish, mostly intact, although showing signs of the wear and tear that might be associated with an item over 100 years old. The brackets are marked J&GLL proving a clear provenance to this illustrious maker prior to 1906.
Although having all the charm and value of an antique, Emily is otherwise fully serviceable for her original purpose, although her original paint is lead based.
