The firm of Norton & Barker, makers of rocking horses based at Victory Works, Horsefair, Birmingham became William Barker in 1933 and extended their range to include furniture. Felix carries a transfer depicting a bulldog used by the firm of William Barker.
This horse is in original condition apart from replacement wheels, which are nevertheless a sympathetic match Paintwork is mostly intact, though with wear and tear consistent with age. The mane and tail have been replaced with an attractive silver grey natural horsehair one.
