An early horse of very fine quality, notably extra carving and a turned head. A large framed photograph accompanies this horse showing him with two previous owners circa 1930, although his styling indicates a much earlier date for his manufacture.
The turn on the head is over 20 degrees to the right, an usually large angle for a rocking horse and one indicator of an early provenance.
Jospehine has had extensive, though sympathetic, restoration.
